Matthew 20:32 “Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked.”

When Jesus heard the two blind men shouting out to Him, He stopped and asked them this question, “What do you want me to do for you?” They had no trouble answering that question. They knew exactly what they wanted. They wanted their sight to be restored. And Jesus had compassion on them, touched them, and healed them.

What if the blind men hadn’t been shouting out above the crowd? Would Jesus have stopped? What if they had been embarrassed by their need or afraid they would be imposing on Jesus if they asked for help? Would thing have still turned out the same for them? What if they avoided their biggest need and asked for something else, would Jesus have given it to them? We don’t know what might have happened.

So, Jesus is available to you right now. He’s within earshot of you as you read these words. Are you going to hold back, let Him pass by, and miss an opportunity to receive an answer to prayer? He’s asking you the same question today, “What do you want me to do for you?” Hear Him call out to you. What will you respond with? Are you willing to ask for your biggest need or will you stop short out of fear or pride and settle for less than all that He has for you today? Each day He makes Himself available to you. Each day He asks you that question. Each day we have the opportunity to lay our requests at His feet. Go ahead and take Him up on His offer today.
