Matthew 10:27 “What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.”
What is Jesus telling you when you spend quiet, intimate time with Him? Do you know? I heard a preacher say that you should always carry a pad of paper and a pen with you wherever you go because you never know when God is going to speak to you and His words are too important to forget about. I hope that I am always that eager to hear what Jesus has to say to me.
What do you do with the messages that Jesus whispers in your ear? Have you shared them with others? Have you proclaimed them out loud? There is something about telling someone else that solidifies His words in our own lives. And there is something about hearing His promises out loud that builds our own faith as well as those we tell. Is there a message that God has laid on your heart that is waiting to be shared with someone who needs to hear it today? Don’t wait.
The God who created you and me wants to speak to you today. He wants to speak into your life. He has words of hope and encouragement, faith and love for you today. Will you take the time to sit and listen to what He has to say or are you too busy? Help us never to be too busy, or too anything for that matter, to listen to what you are saying. May we always hunger and thirst for more of You, O Lord!
