Psalm 126:5 “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.”
Your tears are never wasted. It doesn’t matter how many times you have poured out your heart to God. Every tear you’ve shed has meaning. Every tear is unique. Those who sew with tears care deeply. Their heart is in it. They don’t just give up but keep returning to God’s throne in prayer and supplication. Have you emptied yourself time and time again over something or someone? It is not in vain.
You will one day reap a harvest of joy. The longer you’ve prayed, the sweeter the answer. The deeper the commitment the greater the share in the pleasure. The more you’ve poured out the more you will be filled up. God knows every tear you’ve cried, every plea you’ve uttered, every sigh, every groan, every weight you’ve carried, and every sleepless night. He wastes nothing and nothing goes unnoticed. God has an all surpassing joy waiting for you. It could be just around the corner. It’s coming. In His perfect time. Joy unspeakable.
And one day very soon, “The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces.” Isaiah 25:8. In the brightness of His presence there will be no more tears. Ever! Until then, we continue to go before our God, on bended knee, with humble hearts, crying out with all that is in us, planting a harvest that we will reap.
