Exodus 3:12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”
When God calls you to go do a task, you can be assured that it will happen. God doesn’t tell Moses that it might happen. He doesn’t say if this happens. God says when this happens and you will accomplish this. For God, there is no doubt. He doesn’t get tripped up by Pharaoh, of all the nations that are currently inhabiting the promised land. God already has a solution for all of that.
When God says to do something, He means for it to get done. I wish that I had that confidence. I wish that I could face tasks with that same certainty, trusting in God wholeheartedly, knowing that He not only is capable, but that He will accomplish what He is asking me to do. But all too often, I am afraid that things wont work out. I get caught up in the how in the world is this going to happen mentality. My flesh says there is no way and I listen to it. So I don’t try. I cave in to those fears. I don’t step out of the boat onto the water.
But once in a while I do trust. There are times that I just go when called and I see God bring to pass what only He can accomplish. God is always faithful when He sends me out. He has never failed to accomplish His goals. He has never lost a fight. He has never started something that He couldn’t finish nor underestimated His opponent. And each time that I step out on the waters of the impossible, it builds my trust a little more.
So, is God calling you to an impossible task? His response to your fears is when you have accomplished this, you will worship me. So go ahead and step out of your comfort zone. Go ahead and trust Him and take Him at His Word. He will never fail you.
