Proverbs 15:3 “The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.”

God is always watching. Today, as you read those words, do you find comfort or fear in them?

What I hear in this passage is God’s amazing, unending, overflowing love for mankind. He love each one of His children the same. He cares deeply for you and I alike. He keep watch over our lives, looking out for us each and every day. He wants to see and know and be a part of everything we do.

But how many times have I pretended that God doesn’t see what I do? How often do I turn away from His presence and do it my way? There are times that I want to hide my ways from the Lord who loves me perfectly. How sad. Have you ever shut God out of something you were doing? Have you ever hid from His presence like Adam and Eve in the Garden? It seems kind of naive to think that we can hide from an omniscient God.

Lord, here I am today. I’ve tried to hide from you at times but right now I can’t help but feel your immense love for us. Thank you for keeping an eye on me. I can’t believe that we are so important to you that you never let us out of your sight. Help me to embrace your constant watch as a gift and a sign of your love for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
