Proverbs 14:26 “Whoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.”
Imagine for a moment the security of a fortress. Within its walls you are safe. The enemy can’t harm you. You don’t have to be afraid. You can rest. Inside this fortress there is plenty. There is everything that you and your loved ones need. Your daily bread. Your living water. There is no lack or want inside this fortress. You can live and grow and be yourself in this refuge.
That is the way it is when you surround yourself with the fear of the Lord. As you dwell in the fear of the Lord, you are safe from the attacks of the enemy. You don’t have to be afraid of what man can do to you. You can rest secure in the promises of God and know that He has you in the palm of His hand. You have everything that you need when you dwell in the fear of the Lord. He is your daily bread and your life giving water. In Him we live and move and have are being.
“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Psalm 18:2. “For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.” Psalm 61:3.
Dwell in the fortress of the fear of the Lord and know the peace that only He can provide.
