14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death.

Do you know how powerful and impactful your words can be? Often times I don’t realize how much impact my words might have on others. But as Christians, we have the Words of life. You might not think that you have much to offer but your words bring life to those around you. You have the ability to speak to unbelievers the truth of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit can use what you say to change a life for all eternity.

Every day God brings people across our path that need to hear the good news that you and I know. How often do we miss those opportunities because we are too busy, or too focused on our own agenda? Do you really believe that you are carrying the Words of eternal life? Do I really believe it? Maybe we need a little reminder of just how precious the good news is.

“Sir, I do not share your faith. But if I did – if I believed what you say you believed – then although England were covered with broken glass from coast to coast, I would crawl the length and breadth of it on hand and knee and think the pain worthwhile, just to save a single soul from this eternal hell of which you speak.” – The last words of Charles Peace, convicted murderer.

Each one of us has all that we need to teach the unsaved about our God. No excuses for any of us! When was the last time you shared the truth with someone? What’s keeping you from opening your mouth today and giving life to those around you? Time is running out!
