5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Put your hope and confidence in the Lord with firm resolution and determination trusting Him for your support instead of your own understanding, intelligence, and insight. Throughout the entirety of your journey, know and be known by God, and He will make the well worn path of your life right and pleasing.

You and I are on a journey through this life. The goal of which is to know and be known by God. What does your journey look like when you look back? What does it look like as you look ahead? Look at your life for a moment. Is the well worn path of your life right and pleasing or could it stand to be straightened out a bit?

I think that we could all affirm our need for God’s help with our journey. God’s answer to this need is right here. With everything that is in you, trust in Him. Trust in His provision, His promises, His plans, His ways. When it doesn’t make sense, trust in Him. When the road looks scary, trust in Him. When the bottom drops out of your life, trust in Him. Walk with Him. Talk with Him. Journey with Him. Get to know Him. Let Him get to know you.

God has a perfect path for you and He to journey down. Don’t fight it rather let every inclination of your heart join in with Him and you will know the surety of His provision and protection.
