23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

What do you do for a living? Can you honestly say that you work at it with all your heart? And the effort that you put in to your job, is it for the accolades of others or do you work for the Lord? Do it for Jesus!

What do you do with your family? Can you honestly say that you do family activities with all your heart? And as you are spending time with family, are you giving them the same quality you would if you were spending time with the Lord? Do it for Jesus!

Whatever you do, do it for Jesus! To do this requires me to have Jesus at the forefront of my mind throughout the day. It means that I have to bring Jesus into every activity I undertake. It means that I can’t just do it my way and I can’t rush through a task as being unimportant. Imagine for a second what your day might look like if you actually lived out verse 23. What would that look like?

Do it for Jesus!
