3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

When you walk into church, do people see you or Jesus? How about when you walk in your front door at home? What about in the morning when you get to work? Does your next door neighbor see you or Jesus when you pass them on the sidewalk? We died to ourselves and we are to be hidden with Christ. Our old ways of doing things, our old ways of handling situations, our old methods of coping with tough times are to be in the past. We are to reflect Jesus to the world around us. We are to shine His light into the darkness.

We can only do this if we have died to our selfish, sinful nature and have been clothed with the life of Christ. Is Christ your life? I hear people say that they live for their children, or they live for their work. As Christians, we are to live for Christ. We are to let Christ live in us and through us. We are alive because He has risen from the dead. He gave His life to give us new life.

The only way that we get to be with God in glory is if we die to the old us and let Jesus live through the new us. So, have you died to your ownership of your life? Have you allowed Jesus to live through you? If you haven’t, there’s no better time than the moment to completely identify your life with Jesus Christ.
