11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

We used to wear the uniform of the enemies of Christ. We were born into that army. It was our very nature to be at odds with God. Through Christ we put off that uniform and put on the uniform of God’s army. We are His now. Our allegiance has changed. Our identity has changed.

We are ambassadors not spies. We aren’t supposed to continue to look like the enemy. We are to stand out, to be different. We are to bring God’s rule and reign into this fallen world. Too many Christians are trying to be spies. Hiding in this world. Pretending to be of the world. But we are in the world not of it. We are to shine like stars in this dark world. We are to be salt and light.

Notice in verse 12 that we don’t stay buried. Just like Jesus did not stay buried but rose to life again, we are to be alive. Christians are to be marked by life and a resurrected, super-natural, spirit filled, powerful life at that.

Does your life shine with the resurrection power of Jesus Christ?

Accepting Christ at a young age. I was still an enemy in my flesh towards him. Not totally understanding that I was a 3 part being( spirit, soul and body).. A spirit, that has a soul and lives in a body. Gal 5 helped me to understand this. Now there is no more uniforms or masks. People get the real Noah. The one God created for such a time as this. He did that with every born again believer out there. Praise God!! Let’s Goooo!
