9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

Jesus is God in the flesh. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” Jn 1:14. “And you shall call him Emmanuel, God with us” Mt 1:23. “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” Jn 14:9. The mystery of the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Just as Christ is the fullness of God, we have been made full or complete in Christ. Because Christ lives in us, because we’ve been united with Him in baptism, we are made complete in Christ. You don’t need anything else! You can stop searching for that missing piece that would make you whole. Christ has made you whole. You have everything that you need as 2 Pet 1:3 states, “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”

Jesus is the ultimate authority. No qualification needed. He is over all things, all people, all powers, all creation. Jesus is the head. “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Phil 2:10-11. That’s why we can sing of Jesus “You are my all in all!”

Stop for a second in your busy day and take a deep breath. Pause for a moment and quite your spirit. No matter where you are, no matter what you are going through, no matter how you feel, Jesus is all you need!

Sometimes I do , just have to stop and take that breath. Consciously breath that life giving air into my soul. Let the Lord speak to me. Feel his love pour into me. Sense his nurturing and care for my every need as a child looking up to his daddy to carry him. Thank you father for your goodness! I love you Jesus! You are so good to me. Praise your name!
