The mystery that Paul refers to is just this. How can a perfect, holy, all knowing God accept into His presence broken, sinful, wretched people for all eternity? God’s glorious answer to this mystery was to take our place, pay our debt, cleanse our hearts, and free us from sin through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
This truth, this answer to the mystery is displayed to the world through you and I. As we let Jesus shine through us, we show the world the secret. We can’t do it so God had to. I was hopeless. Now I have hope that cannot be taken away. I was dead but now I’m alive in Christ. We are to send this message throughout all the world, wherever we go, to all we meet, with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength!
How strong is your hope today? Paul calls it an “anchor for our soul” (Heb. 6:19). Are you anchored today or are you drifting? The hope of glory, the hope of salvation in Christ and eternity with God is so sure that you can risk everything on it. Your life might get turned upside down but this will not move. This world will pass away but this truth will not pass away. So, no matter what trial you are facing you can be sure that Christ in you is enough. You can trust, hope, and rest in that!
