25 I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness

We are to present the word of God in all its fullness. First, that requires us to read the Bible. We are to read all of scripture, not just the parts that we like. And we are not to read the Bible just for the data but we are to chew on it, digest it, and allow it to transform our life. Then we are able to instruct others in His Word. As we teach His Word, we are not to hold back but teach the entirety of scripture.

  • Psalm 1:2 “But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
  • Romans 12:2 “…┬ábut be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind …”
  • 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

We are to serve up the Word of God, every jot, every tittle. We are to cherish it, store it up in our hearts, lean on it, learn from it, speak it out loud. It should never depart from our lips. We should teach it to our kids. It is sweeter than honey in our mouths. It is a light to our path and a lamp for our feet. The Word of God is true, sure, dependable, living, active, and discerning.

Are you a servant of the Word of God to the world around you?

Amen! A good way for people to see Jesus in me is knowing the word. Jesus is the word! The more I read and know the word the more I realize who I am. I love the word! I love Jesus!
