11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Put on the full armor of God. Not just your favorite parts. Not just the ones you are good at. Not just those that gain the most attention or notoriety. But put on the full armor of God. Whatever you leave off will expose you to the devil’s schemes. You will be vulnerable in that area.

I love the use of stand in this section of scripture. We are called to stand. To stand against, to stand up. to stand and fight, to stand strong. We are not to waiver when faced with the devil’s schemes. We are to be immovable when faced with temptation.

This verse also tells us that the devil has plans for you. The word translated schemes, methodeia, can also be translated cunning or craftiness, to follow after and investigate, to deceive. The devil is a crafty deceiver that has studied you and knows your weakness. And we need all the help we can get to stand against his plans for you.

  • How are you going to put on the full armor of God today?
  • How are you going to stand against the devil’s schemes today?

I Put on the whole armor of God right now! In Jesus name. I will walk in peace towards my co-workers, I will stay in truth when the deceiver comes, I am righteous and set a good example, my mind is covered in thoughts of salvation and the Joy of living for my father God. I swing my sword as I read and hide the scripture into my heart. Meditating on it day and night. I throw up my shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of doubt. I know who I am in Christ! I can never be deceived! I don’t waiver! I have honor and favor from the most high!
