15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

We are to make the most of every opportunity that God gives to us. And why? Because the days are evil, Poneros in the Greek, meaning full of labours, annoyances, hardships, pressed and harassed by labours, a time full of peril to Christian faith and steadfastness. Wow! Does that sound like today or what? Because life in this world is like this, we are to be light in every situation that God brings our way. There’s no time to lose. There’s no time to sit around and ignore what God is calling us to.

Do you know what the Lord’s will is for your life? Are you living out your mission today? If the answer is no to either of those questions then now is the time to get going. Don’t wait for tomorrow. We are only guaranteed the present and it is a gift from God. It is time to start making a return on that investment within your heart. Don’t wait to open your mouth. Don’t wait to share what He has put on your heart. Don’t think that you’ll have another chance to make things right. The time is now!

Let’s start by making the most of today!

Used this in a p2 devotion to introduce our new brothers on what that looks like moving into p3.

The time is NOW! When you pray for eyes to see. There is multiple opportunities to be used to show God’s love. How cool is that? His love pouring through YOU! To others. That’s a double blessing right there. Thank you Jesus
