1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

There sure are a lot of verses in the Bible that encourage us to love. Is it that hard for us to remember? That’s sad. We are to walk in the way of love just like our Poppa does it and our big brother Jesus. We are to pick up the way they love and be imitators of it. We are to see what they do and reflect that light to the world around us.

We are dearly loved by God and therefore we are to love others with that same love. Jesus said in John 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” That fullness of life means that we are to love others to the full. We, as Christians, have the capacity to love deeper, more intensely, than those that haven’t known the love of Christ. Are you using your love to its fullest capacity? Are you loving on others so that they feel like they are dearly loved brothers and sisters?

When we love like Christ loves us, it becomes a fragrant aroma of God to the world around us. People take notice. This love is sacrificial and genuine, it is freely given and has no end. God’s love is like an all-you-can-eat buffet and ours should be the same. Jesus paid the price and now that abundance of love that wells up inside of us can be poured out on all who are thirsty and in need of love today. Who do you know that is in need of love today? Share the love of God with them today and watch your world and their’s come alive with the fragrance of God.

Thank you Jesus! I can draw from your love by reading this devotion and fellowship with you. You start to pour that love and then I in turn can’t contain it and let it spill on others. You are my source. I thank you for stirring me up so that I may go Love up on others.
    I love Jesus!
