14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

Children are precious! So innocent, so naive. They believe almost anything you tell them. The same can be said for immature believers in Christ. They don’t know enough to know when they are being duped. They haven’t taken the time to learn what the Word of God actually says. Maybe you fall into this category. There’s no shame in admitting this, but what is your plan to grow in your faith? Do you have people in your life that are more mature in their faith that can teach you and guide you? Are you spending time reading scripture and studying the Word?

It is the job of those that are more mature in Christ to help build up those that are less mature so that we all might grow in our faith and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For those of you that would consider yourself to be more mature in your faith, have you been faithful to that duty as a mature believer in Christ? Are you building others up in their faith? Are you available to answer the questions they have and point out the obstacles that lie in their path? Do you intentionally pour into the lives of other believers? The key word there is intentionally. Seek out relationships with those that need what you can provide to them.

We will never reach fullness this side of heaven. We will never be at a place that we don’t need more knowledge and understanding of God. Therefore, be sure to continue your own study of His Word and seek out wise counsel from those that have traveled this road before you. It is only together that we can be built into a body worthy of our head, Jesus.

I agree totally. I have a good friend of 118 years that has helped me get out of false doctrine and beliefs. I used to believe condemnation came from God. I felt I had to clean myself up before he could use me. Just going to him you become clean. Kind of like dust, sin tries and settle on us, but going to the Lord is like a mighty wind of renewal. Keeping us so fresh and so clean. Praise God. Now I can be the real me and it is so much easier than living James 1:8
