10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God’s plan for the Church is to show the spiritual world just how wise He is and how amazing Jesus’ accomplishment on the Cross is. That’s our job! Our job is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus to the seen and the unseen world. Angels and demons alike are to look on the Church and say, “God is truly amazing!”

Are you proclaiming that through your life today? Do your family members get that message when they experience life with you? How about your co-workers? What about the person behind the cash register at your local grocery store? What message are you sending them about our God?

Matthew 16:18 says, “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Too much of the church reads this verse and thinks that it says that God will protect them from the advances of hell. That is just the opposite of what this says. Gates are defensive mechanisms. So the gates of hell are not able to stand up against the Church’s advances against them. We’re the ones that are supposed to be on the offensive! The Church is to be forcefully advancing the kingdom of God!

So go ahead and let your life proclaim to all of creation just how awesome our God is!

That is so true! I used to think we had to ware off the enemies attack, but the truth is we are constantly gaining ground on him. When we spread the love of Jesus there are more seeds being planted in men’s hearts. They are being affected with God’s love for them . The enemy is constantly reeling. It is such a beautiful thing and gift the Lord has given us.
Like the Spartans in 300. We stand together and advance forward knocking the enemy off the cliffs.
    Let’s Goooooooo!
