15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.

Who do you know that has such strong faith that it makes you take notice? For me, it is a friend of ours that no matter what is going on in her life, she always has a song of praise on her heart. Through good times and bad she is encouraging everyone she meets. Every Sunday there is a line of people that want to talk to her after church.

And who do you know that has so much love for others that it just makes you smile when you think of them? My brother-in-law comes to mind as he is always putting everyone else ahead of himself and including others, even strangers, in the fun. He’s others focused all the time. He’d give you the shirt off his back if you asked him for it.

Have you thanked God for these people lately? Have you prayed for them recently? Paul says that he did not stop giving thanks and remembering the church at Ephesus in his prayers. What keeps you from continuing to lift these people up to God? How can you make it a habit to lift up those that have impacted you? Make a list of a few of the people that have impacted your faith and thank God for them and pray for them today. I want to live my life so that I will make someone’s list someday. How about you?

For me it’s a mentor in my life, a friend I have known for 18 years. While I was on the roller coaster of walking in the flesh and walking in the spirit. He has been steady in the word, walking the straight and narrow, and stirring up his faith in the Lord. A steady soldier crucifying his flesh daily and carrying his cross after Jesus. Someday I hope he comes to a phase 1.

I would have to say my late friend Michael from Dec.’16. He was the nicest, kind person I have ever met. He was an encourager, uplifting, helper, funny, and loving. I was able to share the gospel with him and he accepted Christ. He modeled in ways what it looked like to be a servant and show love to others and never boasted in himself.
I need to be aware of the people who have impacted me and make a list. There are many! I agree , I need to be praying some blessings over these people who have deposited some seeds of life into me and not be just a taker, but a giver back into their lives . Praise God!!
