1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God

Paul knew his purpose. Jesus had made it clear to him and he hadn’t lost focus. God had called Paul to be an apostle. It was God’s will for his life and drove his every decision and action.

He was now Paul. No longer Saul of Tarsus. He was a new creation in Christ. The old life was gone and all things had become new for him. Paul had put his past behind him and was pressing on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus had taken hold of him. What do you need to let go of from your past that is holding you back?

He was an apostle, one who is sent. He was an apostle of Jesus Christ. He was sent by Jesus, for Jesus, to proclaim Jesus, he belonged to Jesus. If you could summarize your mission in one word, what would it be?

Paul knew that this apostleship was God’s will for his life. God had purposed it and given it to him. It wasn’t his plan for his life, it was God’s plan. It wasn’t his direction or decision, it was God’s, and he was certain of it. Are you following your plan for your life or God’s?

<Your Name>, a ______________ of Jesus Christ by the will of God. Let God fill in the blank for you today.

I need to let go of Performance love, trying to do things in my own strength.
Hard to summarize my mission in one word but I guess the first word that comes is PASSION.
I am following Gods plan as long as I come to him each day for the details from his word. If I deviate I get back into my plan. Easy as that!
