7 On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised. 8 For God, who was at work in Peter as an apostle to the circumcised, was also at work in me as an apostle to the Gentiles.

I love the phrase that Paul uses here to describe his calling, “I had been entrusted with the task”. Paul understood his calling. He knew without a doubt what God had called him to do. His mission was clear and others could tell that this calling fit Paul perfectly, “they recognized” it.

What task has God entrusted to you to accomplish? Maybe there is an individual that only you can reach out to. Maybe there is a message that only you have been given for this generation. Now, I believe that God’s will will be done whether we are a part of it or not. He’ll just find someone else to accomplish it. But what if He chose you first? You were His first choice to accomplish that task.

Is your mission so apart of who you are that others recognize that God has called you to accomplish it? Are you about your mission day in and day out so people don’t have to ask what you are doing, they just know it?

God is at work in you and me to accomplish the tasks that He has entrusted to us.. He is not finished with us but is molding and shaping us into the men He desires us to be. Are you aware of what God is working in you today? Today must happen so that tomorrow can occur. Just remember that the steps of a righteous man are ordered of the Lord. He has a purpose for today and a task for you to accomplish.
