23 They only heard the report: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” 24 And they praised God because of me.

What’s the report on you? What are people saying about you? Paul’s actions since encountering Christ had gone before him. People heard what he was doing and were praising God because of him.

What kind of reputation do you have in your church? your community? your family? Do people praise God because of the stories that they hear about you? If not, why not?

We are supposed to make a difference in this world in which we live. We are called to be salt and light (Mt. 5:13-16). Are you adding a little flavor to your surroundings or are you bland? Is the world around you brighter as you shed His light on people’s lives or have you chosen not to shine?

You don’t have a choice whether you want to be salt or light, just whether you want to make a difference in this world or not. So, what’s it going to be? I say spice it up and let it shine!
