14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need. 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

You can’t out-give God! God’s generosity knows no bounds. He just keeps on giving. Shouldn’t we have the same mindset?

When it comes to tithing and giving financially to His kingdom, He actually says go ahead and test Him on this and see His faithfulness in action. “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” Mal 3:10. How amazing is that! Talk about a return on your investment. God says to give your first tenth to Him and watch Him flood you with a blessing.

  • What keeps you from giving more to God?
  • Have you asked God recently what He wants you to give?

Every time we give it is credited to our account and God will meet all your needs as you pursue this habit of giving. You don’t have anything to lose. Go ahead and trust Him in this. He is always faithful!
